Commentaire :
Ce dessin a été daté par A.E. Popham (1971) de la fin de la carrière de l'artiste. Il en existe une autre version très proche à Londres (British Museum, Inv. 1946-7-13-439 ; Gnann, 2007, n° 851) et une copie à Windsor (Royal Library, n° 0555). A rapprocher aussi des deux autres études de même sujet : l'une conservée à Berlin (Kupferstichkabinett, sans num. d'inv.; Gnann, 2007, n° 852), l'autre à Vienne (Albertina, SL 97 Inv. Nr. 2667 ; Gnann, 2007. 853.)
