Selon l'avis de M. Alexandre de Wurtemberg, communiqué le 22 juin 2005 par Madeleine Pinault Sorensen à Carel van Tuyll, 'ce cessin n'est pas de l'école française mais de l'école allemende et tourne autour des décorateurs sculpteurs de l'Allemagne du Sud', en particulier Joseph Anton Feuchtmayer.
