Vente Baudin (16 mars 1921) n° 9. Etude d'après 'La Course des Barberi', de Géricault. Composition de Géricault dont il existe plusieurs exemplaires (dans les musées de Paris (Louvre), Rouen, Lille, Baltimore...). Cette course de chevaux libres, ou barbes (barberi) avait lieu sur le Corso, de la Place du Peuple à la Place de Venise, à Rome (cf. R. Michel, Gericault, Galeries nationales du Grand Palais, Paris, 1991-1992, p. 98).
