Commentaire :
Proposition à Nicolas de Hoey par Anne Thackray dans French Drawings XVI-XIX centuries, London, Courtauld Institute Galleries, 4 juillet - 6 octobre 1991 : Ce dessin du Courtauld Institute Galleries (Le Prophète Malachi) appartient à une série et ressemble à de nombreux dessins du Louvre attribués à Jean d'Hoey frère de Nicolas. Pourtant une gravure faite d'après le dessin représentant Baruch (Amsterdam Rijksprentenkabinet) donne comme inventeur Nicolas de Hoey ainsi que d'autre estampes appartenant à la même série. Les dessins ont donc probablement été faits par Nicolas de Hoey.
