Commentaire :
Autrefois classé comme un original de Francesco Vanni (voir inscription au recto du dessin et annotation au verso), ce dessin a été publié par J. F. Méjanès (in cat. exp. Les Collections du Comte d'Orsay : dessins du Musée du Louvre, Paris, Louvre, 1983, n° Ors. 454) parmi les anonymes d'école italienne de XVIII siècle.
Catherine Loisel (bloc-notes de l'Inventaire, 9.07.14) indique : Très retouché par Natoire.

Pierre noire, fusain, plume et encre brune, lavis brun, rehauts de blanc, sur papir beige. Collé en plein. Annotation à la plume et à l'encre brune, en bas au centre : 'Cav. Vanni' ; en bas, à droite : 'G. R.'. Collé en plein.
