Reclassé parmi les anonyme florentins du XVIIè siècle (voir cahier de reclassement [reclassement 2006], Louvre, Cabinet des Dessins). C. Monbeig Goguel ('Musée du Louvre, Cabinet des Dessins, Inventaire général des Dessins Italiens, IV : Dessins toscans XVIe-XVIIIe siècles, vol. II : 1620-1800', Milan, 2005, n° 398) a proposé l'attribution à Lorenzo Lippi, tandis que R. Contini (communication orale) l'a rapproché d'Ottavio Vannini.
