Ce dessin est monté sur une feuille ayant servi de support à un autre dessin, à la pierre noire, rehauts de blanc sur papier gris, aujourd'hui découpé, portant l'écriture du 'Double-Numbering Collector' (n° 67).
D'après une peinture conservée à Sienne dont une réplique, ou copie ancienne, est conservée à la Pinacoteca Nazionale, Palazzo Barberini, Rome.
