Commentaire :
De l'école de Benozzo Gozzoli selon B. Berenson ('The Drawings of the Florentine Painters', Chicago, 1938, n° 559c), selon L. Grassi ('Disegni italiani del 300 e del 400. Scuole Fiorentina, Senese, Marchigiana, Umbra', Venise, 1956, p. 141), ce dessin pourrait être attribué à Ottaviano Nelli et à Gentile da Fabriano selon Van Marle (cf. L. Grassi, op. cit.). Cette feuille a été reconnue par B. Degenhart - A. Schimtt ('Corpus der Italienischen Zeichnungen 1300-1450', II, Berlin, 1968, n° 458) comme faisant anciennement partie du 'Masterbuch' carnet démembré dont les feuilles connues se divisent entre Rotterdam (Museum Boymans-van Beuningen), Vienne (Graphische Sammlung Albertina), Stockholm (Nationalmuseum), New York (Cooper Union Museum), et Londres (British Museum) : voir B. Degenhart - A. Schimtt, op. cit. p. 482-488.
