Identifié comme un original de Giovanniantonio di Francesco Sogliani par B. Berenson ('The Drawings of the Florentine Painters', Londres, 1903, vol. II, n° 2754), qui a rapproché la Vierge de celle, presque identique, qui apparaît sur un autre dessin autrefois à Londres (Collection Oppenheimer). Attribué à Giovanjacopo Castrocaro par B. Degenhart ('Die Schüler des Lorenzo di Credi' in Münchner Jahrbuch der Bildenden Kunst, NF, IX (1932), p. 107).
Dimensions: H. 0,142 m ; L. 0,092 m
Materials and techniques: Pointe de métal (argent ?) avec rehauts de blanc sur papier préparé en rose saumon. Collé sur les quatre bords. Restauré en 2003
