Commentaire :
Modello de la première des sept compositions sur l'histoire d'Achille qui ornent la grande salle du palais Durazzo à Gênes. L'Albertina de Vienne conserve une copie de ce dessin (Inv.-Nr. 2518) où ne figurent pas les éléments de paysage.
Catherine Loisel confirme cette feuille à Marcantonio Franceschini (Musée du Louvre, Inventaire général des dessins italiens, Tome X : Dessins bolonais du XVIIe siècle, Tome II, Paris, 2013, n° 967, p. 525-527).
