Commentaire :C. van Tuyll (bloc-notes de l'Inventaire, 17.01.07) indique qu'il s'agit d'une copie d'après un dessin d'Aelbert Cuyp passé en vente, Sotheby's Londres, 8 juillet 2004, no. 88 (96 x 152 mm) et non vendu. Le taureau couché se retrouve dans le grand "Paysage avec cavaliers et chasseur" conservé à Londres, National Gallery, inv. 6522 (c. 1660).
