Copie d'après la peinture de Benedetto Luti à Rome, Santa Caterina da Siena (voir L. Duclaux, 'Inventaire général des dessins, école française. t. XII, Nadar-Ozanne', Paris, Musée du Louvre, 1975, n° 81).
Le Louvre conserve deux autres copies du même tableau (INV 18196 recto et 23986 recto).
Collé sur un montage avec au dos une contre-épreuve d'une autre main.
