Le Repas chez Simon le Pharisien. Copie d'après la première série des 'Sacrements', dite dal Pozzo. Voir Inv. 32558. ''La Pénitence' fut détruite par un incendie à Belvoir Castle en 1816 ; la composition en reste connue par des copies et par la gravure publiée chez Dughet (G. Wildenstein, ''Les graveurs de Poussin au XVIIe siècle', 'Gazette des Beaux-Arts', 6e période, XLVI, n° 1040-1043, septembre-décembre 1955, p. 227 (paru en 1958), n° 93, repr.)' (J.-F. Méjanès, Musée du Louvre, Cabinet des dessins - Inventaire Général des dessins français, Lettre P, Paris, 1997, R.M.N., n° 1830, p. 481)

Object history: Probablement comte d'Orsay, mais sans marque (L. 2239) ; saisie des Emigrés, au château d'Orsay en 1793, déposé au palais de Versailles ; envoi en 1823 (L 1886 a).
