Commentaire :Inscription au centre : 'Leda'. Inscription en haut 'Europe playing with the bull Diana with a stag'. Etude pour une Léda et divers croquis en rapport avec La Mort de Sardanapale, tableau conservé au musée du Louvre. La tête de Dante à gauche est à rapprocher de la peinture située par Johnson (1981, n° 90, pl. 79) en 1827, et conservée dans la collection Henri Galland, à Paris.
