Copie du tableau du Tintoret conservé à la Galleria dell'Accademia, Venise. 'En dépit de l'opinion de Rosand, cette feuille nous semble plus proche du style d'Agostino que de celui de Palma Giovane, et une datation correspondant à la gravure de 1588 : 'La Vierge apparaissant à Saint Jérôme', d'après Tintoret (D. De Grazia, cat. exp. 'Prints and related drawings by the Carracci Family, A Catalogue Raisonné', Washington, National Gallery of Art, 1979, n° 146), paraît tout à fait cohérente.' (C. Loisel, 'Musée du Louvre, département des arts graphiques, Inventaire général des dessins italiens, VII : Ludovico, Agostino, Annibale Carracci', Paris, RMN, 2004, n° 239, p. 161) C. Loisel, dans son inventaire 2004, attribue ce dessin à : 'Agostino Carracci ?'.
