Commentaire :
F. Lugt (« Musée du Louvre, Inventaire général des dessins des écoles du Nord. Ecole hollandaise, t.III : Rembrandt, ses élèves, ses imitateurs, ses copistes », Paris, 1933, n°1251) voit dans ce dessin une copie ancienne, et partielle, d'après « Tobie effrayé par le poisson » de Berlin (Kupferstichkabinett, KdZ 4175), aujourd'hui attribué à F. Bol (H. Bevers, « Rembrandt. Die Zeichnungen im Berliner Kupferstichkabinett. Kritischer Katalog », Ostfildern, 2006, p. 198-199).
