Description/Features: Commentaire :
O. Benesch ('The Drawings of Rembrandt', Londres, 1957, vol. V, n° 1040) et S. Slive ('Drawings of Rembrandt', New York, 1965, vol. II, n° 386) définissent le verso comme une autre étude de l'Antiope du recto, qu'ils situent à la même période qu'une gravure sur le même thème exécutée en 1659 (B. 203). La plume trop hésitante au verso comme au recto conduit E. Starcky à classer ce dessin parmi les oeuvres d'atelier de Rembrandt ('Musée du Louvre, Cabinet des Dessins, Inventaire général des dessins des écoles du nord, Ecoles allemande, des Ancien Pays-Bas, flamande, hollandaise suisse, XVe-XVIIIe siècles, Supplément aux inventaires de Frits Lugt et Louis Demonts', Paris, 1988, n° 287).
