Peut-être basé sur un prototype perdu, un manuscrit allemand du XIVe, cet alphabet est composé de vingt-trois lettres gothiques, ornées aux figures humaines, d'animaux et de monstres. H. Bevers le rapproche du carnet de Giovannino de Grassi contenant un alphabet antropomorphique dessiné sur parchemin et conservé à la Bibliothque Civique de Bergame (Munich, 1986/1987, p. 91, fig. 42 et 43).
