Commentaire :
M. Schongauer a traité deux fois le thème de l'Annonciation. La première, sur cette feuille, au début des années 1480 (M. Lehrs, Geschichte und Kritischer Katalog des Deutschen, Niederländischen und Französischen Kupferstiches im XV. Jahrhundert, Vienne, 1925, V, n°1 ) et la deuxième dans une exécution en deux planches séparées, comme un dyptique à la fin de sa carrière vers 1490-1491 (186 LR). (P.
