Commentaire :
Premier état avant la signature de l'éditeur (A. de Salamanca).
Hind date l'estampe entre 1503 et 1513 -pontificat de Jules II- car on voit les armes sur la forteresse qui rappellent le château de Saint Ange. P. Jean-Richard l'intègre dans le corpus d'œuvres florentines. Pour Levenson et Oberhuber elle est probablement d'une main différente à celle du graveur de 'Virginius tuant sa fille'.
