Commentaire :
Lehrs remarque que la plante à dix feuilles se retrouve dans une planche du Maître ES 'Auguste et la Sibylle" (1923, n°192). Les animaux font penser à ceux représentés dans les Picture Chronicle et dans les pièces 'Otto'. Phillips attribue cette pièce à Rosselli d'après un dessin de Botticelli. Le cuivre de cette planche a servi pour graver 'David et Goliath) d'après Hind. Un dessin du British Museum attribué à Pesellino comporte dans le lointain un château fort qui se retrouve dans cette gravure.
