L'iconographie de cette œuvre est reprise par A. van Dyck dans un dessin conservé au British Museum (1957.1214.207.80)
C. Jenckins situe cette œuvre après son arrivée à Rome et avant 1519 - date à laquelle H. S. Beham exécute une copie -. ('Marcantonio Raimondi, Raphael and the image multiplied', Manchester University, 2016, n°3, p. 133 et 134 (épreuve The Whitworth Institute, University of Manchester).
