Modello pour l'un des médaillons peints à fresque de la Sala dei Venti, au Palazzo Te, à Mantoue (Mirabilia Italiae, Palazzo Te a Mantova, II, p. 310 fig. 575). Voir aussi L. Aldovini in cat. exp. Primatice, maître de Fontainebleau, Paris, musée du Louvre, 2004, p. 277 note 17, qui rappelle l'importance de cette composition dans la généalogie du sujet de l'histoire de Diane conçu par Primatice et gravé par Léon Davent (H. Zerner, 'LEcole de Fontainebleau. Gravures', Paris, 1969, L.D. 77-79).
