Un dessin attribué à Pierre Antoine BAUDOUIN représentant la même scène est passé en vente chez Christie's, Londres, mardi 7 décembre 1993, vente 5092, cat. 'Old Master Drawings', lot. 85, p. 46, repr.

Cette estampe à l'eau-forte pure fut gravée par Jean-Michel Moreau dans le même temps que la gouache de Baudouin aujourd'hui conservée à la National Gallery of Art à Washington. Terminée au burin par Jean-Baptiste Simonet, elle fut publiée après la mort de Baudouin par sa femme en association avec Simonet. (Victoria Fernandez-Masaguer, dans le catalogue 'Résonances. Le Louvre à La Réunion', Paris et La Réunion, 2021, p.135, n°119)
