Un dessin de la même composition passait en vente à l'Hôtel Drouot en juin 1969, N°495. Boucher s'est inspiré d'une composition du Dominiquein, à la plume et encre brune conservée au Cabinet des Dessins du Louvre, Inv. 9109. (P. Jean-Richard, Inventaire général de gravures de l'Ecole française 'L'œuvre gravé de François Boucher dans la Collection Edmond de Rothschild', Paris 1978, p.373, n°1546.

Dimensions au trait carré : H. 0,323 m ; L. 0,235 m
Dimensions au coup de planche : H. 0,34 m ; L. 0,248 m
Materials and techniques: Filigrane : monogramme du Christ dans un cercle orné avec, au-dessous, la date 1742.
Object history: Entrée à la Collection en janvier 1879.
Oeuvre conservée dans le portefeuille n°221 du baron Edmond de Rothschild jusqu'en 2019.
