Dans cette oeuvre Wechtlin s'approche de l'héritage germanique par le sujet mais il confirme son lien par le technique et la couleur à Lucas Cranach, qu'il rencontra à la cour de Wittenberg en 1506/07. (P. Torres in cat. exp. 'Luzes do Norte; Desenhos e gravuras do Renascimento Alemão na Coleção Edmond de Rothschild', Sao Paulo, MASP, 2012, p. 113 et 115).

Materials and techniques: Plume, encre noire et gouache blanche sur papier préparé en bleu.
