Ces compostions font partie de la série intitulée : 'Mansches de Coutiaus, aveques les feremens de la gaine, de plusieurs sortes fort profitable pour les argentiers ou aultres artisiens, fait par Io: Theodori de Bry. Neuwe Messer hauben mit di beschlage[n] zu der scheiden auf mäncherleij Weiss zehr nutzlich fur goltschmieden und andere liebhaber', publiée à Frankfurt sans date.
La scène de Suzanne est gravée d'après une estampe de Crispijn de Passe le Vieux d'après Maarten de Vos.
