Copie de la partie gauche du 'Combat de dix-huit hommes nus' de Barthel Beham (Hollstein II, n° 25, p. 191; Pauli, 25; Bartsch VIII, 16).
Les tailles qui ombrent le bouclier du combattant au centre de la composition sont différentes. D'autres différences s'observent sur la massue en forme de racine d'arbre au-dessous de ce bouclier entre le quatrième et le cinquième combattant.
