Pollet met en relation ce cartouche avec une suite ovale non datée répertoriée dans son catalogue sous le numéros 430-433.
l'artiste grave plusieurs frontispices de ce type entre 1578 et 1579 alors qu'aucune suite gravée avant son exil en Allemagne ne comprend de page de titre.
