Commentaire :
Suite de vingt-cinq estampes (7511 LR à 7535 LR) dont le titre est 'NOVA / ALPHATI EFFICTIO /Historiis..' et en allemand 'Nejw Kunstliches / Alphabet...', signée par le fils de Theodor de Bry et publiée à Francfort en 1595. Il existe une copie de la série éditée à Cologne en 1613 chez Johann Bussemacher (cat. C.G. Boerner n°55, Ornament, n° 125, titre repr.) (P. Jean-Richard in 'Ornemanistes du XVe au XVIIe siècle, Gravures et dessins. XIVe exposition de la Collection Edmond de Rothschild', Paris, Musée du Louvre, 1987, p. 57-58, n° 74)
