Commentaire :
Il s'agit d'une suite de six planches. Une composition présentant quelques variantes a été gravée par Ryland (18995 LR), par Bonnet en manière de crayon, n°186 : 'Vénus au Bain' (19099 LR) et par Daullé 'Vénus et les grâces au bain' (Delignières 1873, n°135). (P. Jean-Richard, Inventaire général de gravures de l'Ecole française 'L'œuvre gravé de François Boucher dans la Collection Edmond de Rothschild', Paris 1978, p.281, n°1149).
