Commentaire :
Cet œuvre en son pendant de l'Amour moissonneur (Inv. 18855 LR) ont été gravées à l'eau forte par B. Lépicié et terminées au burin par E. Marlié Lépicié. Boucher a dû peindre avant 1734 ces œuvres qui ont servi de modèle à la Manufacture de Beauvais en 1761. Il existe une copie gravée anonyme en sens inverse (Inv. 18853 LR et 18854 LR).
