Cette estampe fait partie d'une suite de neuf pièces dont sept sont conservées à la Collection Edmond de Rotschild ; manquent les n° 184 et 190. Impression en manière de crayon noir au premier tirage et en sanguine ensuite. Gravé à l'eau-forte, même sens, par Huquier, n° 4 du 'Troisième Livre de Sujets et Pastorales (18642 L.R.). (in Jean-Richard Pierrette, Inventaire général des gravures de l'école française, 'L'Oeuvre gravé de François Boucher dans la Collection Edmond de Rothschild', Edition des Musées Nationaux, Paris, 1978, p. 119, n° 376.)
