Commentaire :
Même si cette œuvre figure dans les inventaires de la Collection Rothschild comme anonyme italien du XVème siècle, A. Blum l'attribue à Peregrino. Elle peut être comparée au numéro d'inventaire 48 Ni, du même sujet. Dans le 48 Ni, l'espace autour des figures est plus large. La partie inférieure droite est mal tirée à l'impression. ('Les nielles du Quattrocento', Musée du Louvre, Cabinet d'estampes Edmond de Rothschild, Paris, Compagnie des Arts photomécaniques, 1950, p. 20, n°72). Une autre épreuve est conservée à l'Albertina de Vienne.
