Commentaire :
Bartsch attribue cette œuvre à Nicoletto da Modena. Duchesne pense qu'elle serait une copie d'une œuvre de Peregrino du même sujet.
A. Blum reprend la même attribution. ( 'Les nielles du Quattrocento', Musée du Louvre, Cabinet d'estampes Edmond de Rothschild, Paris, Compagnie des Arts photomécaniques, 1950, p. 25, n°106).

Au-dessous, le titre: 'Jeune femme tenant une épée et une boule' à l'initiale rouge. En bas à gauche, numéros de catalogues et ancien numéro d'inventaire : 'B. 68/De. 315/ Dt. 472 bis/ 9570'. Œuvre conservée dans le recueil L 6 LR (Tome V) du baron Edmond de Rothschild jusqu'en 2022
