Ce nielle est une épreuve unique qui fait partie d'un ensemble de quatre pièces dont la collection en conserve trois. A. Blum ( 'Les nielles du Quattrocento', Musée du Louvre, Cabinet d'estampes Edmond de Rothschild, Paris, Compagnie des Arts photomécaniques, 1950, p. 27, n°126) l'attribue à Peregrino da Cesena par comparaison avec une épreuve de la Bibliothèque Nationale de France (Ea. 27 rés. p. 3 Cl. 96 A 74341) (G. Lambert, 'Les premières gravures italiennes. Quattrocento début du Cinquecento', Bibliothèque Nationale de France, Paris, 1999, p. 25, n°85).

Au-dessous, le titre: 'Abraham et l'Ange' aux majuscules rouges. En bas à gauche, ancien numéro d'inventaire : '17985'. Œuvre conservée dans le recueil L 6 LR (Tome V) du baron Edmond de Rothschild jusqu'en 2022
