Commentaire :
Troisième d'une série de six gravures sur l'histoire d'Adam et Eve. Les séries complètes sont conservées à Amsterdam, Basel, Berlin, Bremen, Brunswick, Dresden, London, Münich, Münster, Nuremberg, Paris, Vienne et Wolfegg. Des séries de différentes éditions existent à Cambridge, Coburg, Erlangen et Stuttgart.
Une copie par le monogrammiste AO, en contrepartie, conservée à Paris signée et datée de 1541. (The New Hollstein, 'Heinrich Aldegrever' German engravings, etchings and woodcuts, 1400-1700, p. 29 et 30, repr.3)
