Commentaire :
Scène au verso à la plume qui reporte les personnages du recto.
Cinquième d'une série de six gravures sur l'histoire d'Adam et Eve. Les séries complètes sont conservées à Amsterdam, Basel, Berlin, Bremen, Brunswick, Dresden, London, Münich, Münster, Nuremberg, Paris, Vienne et Wolfegg. Des séries de différentes éditions existent à Cambridge, Coburg, Erlangen et Stuttgart.
Virgil Solis fait une copie, en contrepartie, qui est montée sur une même feuille avec 'La Création d'Eve' et 'La tentation du serpent'; conservée à Berlin.
