Commentaire :
Deuxième des trois gravures dédiées à l'histoire de Joseph. Une série non datée ni signée est conservée à Berlin. Une autre, signée avec le monogramme et datée de 1532 est conservée à Amsterdam, Basel, Bremen, Brunswick, Cambridge, Cobourg, Düsseldorf, Erlangen, Hambourg, Londres, Munich, Münster, Paris, Vienne, Varsovie.
Un dessin préparatoire est conservé à New York (Plassmann 1).
Un deuxième état de cette gravure est conservé à Dresde et Wolfegg.
