Commentaire :
Sixième des sept gravures dédiées à l'histoire de Amnon et Tamar. Deux séries complètes, une avant la numérotation à Amsterdam, Bremen, Dresde, Cambridge, Cobourg, Karlsruhe, Londres, Munich, Vienne. Et l'autre avec la numérotation à Amsterdam, Brunswick, Hambourg et Wolfegg.
Un dessin préparatoire en contrepartie est conservé à Berlin. (Plassmann 9).
Une copie sur bois signée du monogramme CVS (Christoffel van Sichem) a été faite pour la Biblia sacra, fol. 402, sans la cartouche de la gravure.
