Commentaire :
Septième des sept gravures dédiées à l'histoire de Amnon et Tamar. Deux séries complètes, une avant la numérotation à Amsterdam, Bremen, Dresde, Cambridge, Cobourg, Karlsruhe, Londres, Munich, Vienne. Et l'autre avec la numérotation à Amsterdam, Brunswick, Hambourg et Wolfegg.
Un dessin préparatoire en contrepartie est conservé à Berlin , daté de 1540. (Plassmann 10).
Il existe une copie anonyme, en contrepartie, avec le monogramme de Aldegrever (B. VIII, p.370 cop.), conservée à Basel, Berlin, Erlangen, Munich et VIenne.
Une copie sur bois signée du monogramme CVS (Christoffel van Sichem) a été faite pour la Biblia sacra, fol. 402, 684, sans la cartouche de la gravure.
