Commentaire :
Quatrième des quatre planches consacrées à l'histoire du bon samaritain. Des séries complètes sont conservées à Amsterdam, Basel, Berlin, Brême, Brunswick, Budapest, Cobourg, Dresde (sans la B. 40), Düsseldorf, Londres, Munich, Münster, Paris, Vienne, Varsovie. Un dessin préparatoire daté de 1554, en contrepartie, est conservé à Dresde, daté de 1554 (Plassmann 54). Il existe une copie, avec cinq feuilles qui décorent le fronton de la porte d'entrée à la place de sept; la tablette sur le mur n'a pas le chiffre '20', conservé à Vienne. (The New Hollstein, 'Heinrich Aldegrever' German engravings, etchings and woodcuts, 1400-1700, p. 55 et 57, repr. 43).
