Commentaire :
Deuxième des cinq planches consacrées à la parabole de Lazare et du mauvais riche. Des séries complètes sont conservées à Amsterdam, Basel, Berlin, Brême, Budapest, Cambridge, Cobourg, Dresde, Londres, Munich, Nuremberg, Paris, Vienne, Varsovie. Il existe deux copies, anonymes, une d'entre elles en contrepartie, la première avec des différences dans le texte, et la deuxième conservée à Munich avec la date 1563 et sans texte sur la tablette de la colonne. (The New Hollstein, 'Heinrich Aldegrever' German engravings, etchings and woodcuts, 1400-1700, p. 59 et 61, repr. 45).
