Des tirages de cette gravure sont conservées à Amsterdam, Basel, Berlin, Brême, Cambridge, Cobourg, Dresde, Düsseldorf, Hambourg, Karlsruhe, Londres (avec filigrane), Munich, Munster (avec filigrane), Nuremberg (avec filigrane), Paris, Varsovie, Wolfegg (avec filigrane).
La plaque a probablement été travaillé postérieurement si on regarde les impressions de Dresde et Paris. La figure de Rhea Silvia a été inspirée de la Leda de Léponard da Vinci et du Didon de Marcantonio Raimondi.
Il existe une copie en contrepartie, sans cartouche, conservée à Vienne. (The New Hollstein, 'Heinrich Aldegrever' German engravings, etchings and woodcuts, 1400-1700, p. 76, repr. 66).
