Cette gravure fait partie d'une série de sept plaques sur les planètes. Les séries complètes sont conservées à Amsterdam, Berlin, Brême, Londres et Vienne. Des séries appartenant à différentes éditions dont quelques plaques sont usées sont conservées à Brunswick, Cobourg, Dresde, Erlangen, Munich, Munster, Nuremberg, Paris et Wolfegg. Des séries incomplètes sont à Basel, Budapest, Cambridge, Düsseldorf, Hambourg, Karlsruhe, Munich, Nuremberg, Stuttgart et Varsovie.
Il existe une copie de cette gravure faite par Melchior Lorch, en contrepartie, signé du monogramme ML avec l'inscription, conservée à Berlin, Brême et Londres.(The New Hollstein, 'Heinrich Aldegrever' German engravings, etchings and woodcuts, 1400-1700, p. 85, repr. 74).
