Commentaire :
Le cuivre se trouve à la Chalcographie du Louvre (865 C) et le dessin d'Hédouin aux trois crayons est conservé au Cabinet des Dessins (Mi 1060). Cette estampe a été gravée d'après le tableau conservé au Louvre en 1864. Un dessin au crayon noir et à la sanguine est conservé au Musée National de Stockholm et une autre étude à la sanguine et rehauts de blanc au Metropolitan Museum of Art. (P. Jean-Richard, Inventaire général de gravures de l'Ecole française 'L'œuvre gravé de François Boucher dans la Collection Edmond de Rothschild', Paris 1978, p. 268, n°1073).
