Cet étude d'après modèle vivant (C. Monbeig-Goguel, cat. exp. Dessins Baroques Florentins du Musée du Louvre, Paris, Musée du Louvre, 1981-1982, n° 71) a été rapproché par G. Pagliarulo ('Dipinti fiorentini del Seicento per la compagnia di San Paolo di notte', in Paragone, 1989, n. 471, p. 59 et p. 69 note n° 30, repr. fig. n° 54a) du personnage penché sur la table au fond de 'Ananie rend la vue à saint Paul' (Florence, collection particulière, repr. in ibidem fig. n° 55).
