Commentaire :A rapprocher de deux dessins conservés à Londres (Victoria and Albert Museum, E. 1958-1924) et à Florence (Galleria degli Uffizi, Orn. 614). Autrefois attribué à Andrea del Verrocchio ou à Desiderio da Settignano, pour son analogie avec le tabernacle de S. Lorenzo, à Florence (Notice...1881, n° 119 ; O. Kurz, A Group of Florentine Drawings for an Altar', in Journal of the Warburg and Courtauld Institut, XVIII, 1955, p. 40 note n° 1, repr.), ce dessin a été plus récemment publié sous le nom de Francesco di Simone Ferrucci par F. Ames-Lewis, qui a souligné sa relation avec l'autel commandé à l'artiste par Carlo de' Medici en 1487 (voir in cat. exp. Italian Renaissance Sculpture at the Time of Donatello, Detroit, Institut of Arts, 1985-1986, n° 78, repr., cf. n° 77 ; voir aussi E.
