Attribué à E. Delaune dans les Inventaires Rothschild ce dessin est à rapprocher d'un projet de cadran de pendule pour l'Electeur Auguste de Saxe représentant la Planète Mercure exécuté dans la même technique signé du monogramme de H. Collaert et conservé à Amsterdam (Boon, 1978, n°138, repr). (Jean Richard, P. 'Ornemanistes du XVe au XVIIe siècle, Gravures et dessins. XIVe exposition de la Collection Edmond de Rothschild, 1987, n°70, p. 55)
