C. Loisel situe cette feuille dans le corpus de jeunesse de Perino del Vaga au moment où il travaille au décor du Palazzo Doria à Gênes. Elle la rapproche d'un dessin conservé au Courtauld Institute (Perino del vaga, 2001, n°29) (in cat. exp. 'Chefs d'œuvre de la renaissance Italienne du musée du Louvre. La collection Edmond Rothschild, CAFA Art Museum, Pékin 2010, p. 142, repr. 69).
